Meet Alain Chung: The Watch Collector

Watch collector, Alain Chung, has over 400 men’s watches in a big safe at home, along with around 1,000 bottles of wine and over 2,000 fountain pens.
Chung’s first watch was a gift from his father – an Omega Constellation, given to him when he was around 12 years old.  And around 20 years ago, in the early 1990s, Chung started “seriously collecting” watches for men.
“I went through this phase where I bought a watch every week. Initially, I wanted to cap my collection at 100 watches, but I ended up with 400 very good, rare ones,” Chung told Malaysian newspaper, The Star.  He lists luxury watches by Rolex and Patek Philippe among his two favorite Swiss Made watch manufacturers.
